Start with Zillow and Trulia to get the final price of recently sold homes 3 to 6 months ago. Narrow the homes sold to a 6 block radius of the area where you want to buy at.
If you are looking for a 3 bedroom house, make sure the home sold also has 3 bedrooms. If looking for 2 bathrooms, make sure the home sold also has 2 bathrooms. Compare apples to apples.
